The Quick Answer

The 39th annual Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV and Powersports Show runs Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the International Centre in Mississauga. Billed as the world's largest snowmobile and ATV show, it brings together the major manufacturers, dealers, clubs, tourism regions and gear suppliers under one roof, with free parking. If you are planning to buy a sled, ATV or side by side this season, it is the best single day of comparison shopping you will get all year. To get a real deal instead of a rushed one, do your homework before you walk in the door.

Out west this week? The Alberta Powersports Show is on at the Edmonton Expo Centre this Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17. The same deal strategy below works there too.

What You Will See

Expect large manufacturer displays showing their new snowmobile, ATV and side by side lineups, plus dealers, trailers, parts, gear, custom, race and vintage sleds, seminars, snowmobile clubs and tourism destinations. The show also runs live test drives in its Outdoors Event Centre and has a contest for a chance to win a Segway Snarler ATV.

BRP has confirmed a 4,500 square foot corporate display in Hall 1. On the Ski-Doo side, the highlights include:

  • The 600R E-TEC engine and Silent Stop technology
  • 20th anniversary X-RS models
  • Skandic and Tundra utility sleds on the REV Gen 5 platform
  • A new Freeride with tMotion lockout rear suspension and coil-over shocks
  • A factory-built turbocharged two-stroke, Smart Shox suspension and a 10.25 inch touchscreen

If you are shopping for an ATV or side by side instead, the show is also your chance to see the 2027 Can-Am lineup, including the new Defender HD10, in person. Every major brand you want to compare should be within a short walk of each other.

Before the Show: Do Your Homework

The best show deals are made at home, the week before. Show floors are loud, crowded and full of "today only" pricing. Walking in with your numbers already worked out is what keeps you in control.

  1. Set your budget as a total, not a monthly payment. Decide the out the door price you are willing to pay, including taxes, freight and PDI.
  2. Know the used price. Look up what a 1 to 3 year old version of the model you want sells for. If a show price on a new machine is close to that, it is a strong deal. If not, used may be the better buy.
  3. Work out your payment. Use a payment calculator so you know what a given price, rate and term really cost you.
  4. Get financing options lined up. If you arrive with a financing quote in hand, a dealer's rate has to beat it.
  5. Get an insurance quote. A high-performance sled or a 1000 cc side by side can cost much more to insure than you expect. An insurance quote before you buy avoids surprises.
  6. Make a short list. Pick two or three models across at least two brands. Write down the trim, the MSRP and the features you need.
  7. Know your trade-in value. If you plan to trade in, know what your current machine is worth on the private market.

At the Show: How to Shop Smart

Pick the right day

Friday afternoon is usually the quietest time, so you get more time with sales staff, and the $3 coupon is valid all day. Saturday is the busiest. Sunday afternoon, near closing, is when some exhibitors are more willing to move on price rather than pack up stock or gear.

Sit on everything

This is the show's biggest value. Sit on every machine on your list. Check seat height, the reach to the bars or wheel, foot room in your winter boots and how the controls feel with gloves on. A spec sheet cannot tell you which sled fits you.

Ask the right questions

Ask This Why It Matters
What is the out the door price? Freight, PDI, tire levies, admin fees and taxes can add thousands to a "show price"
Which model year is this? A 2027 at full price and a leftover 2026 at a discount are very different deals
Is it in stock, or on order? A machine on order may not arrive before the snow, and the price may not be locked in
What warranty comes with it? Many brands run extra coverage promotions at shows. Get the term in writing
Is the deposit refundable? If you change your mind, a non-refundable deposit is money gone
Which dealer delivers and services it? The dealer at the booth may be hours from home. Warranty work is easier close by

Do not sign on the spot

"Show only" pricing is real, but it is also a pressure tactic. Get the full written quote, with the model year, trim, accessories and out the door price, then take a walk. Compare it with the other brands on your list. A deal that is genuinely good will still be there in an hour. If a dealer will only hold the price for the next five minutes, that is a signal to slow down, not to hurry.

Where Show Deals Are Usually Best

Category What to Look For
Gear and apparel Helmets, jackets, bibs, boots and heated gear are often discounted at shows. Try sizes on before you buy
Trailers and decks Compare several trailer makers side by side. Bring your sled or machine measurements
Outgoing model year machines Leftover 2026 units are where dealers have the most room to negotiate
Accessory bundles Instead of a lower price, ask for covers, racks, plows, winches or wear parts included in the deal
Club and tourism booths Pick up trail maps and ask about trail permits and local riding destinations

Riding Ontario trails this winter? Do not forget the trail permit. Our guide to snowmobile trail permits and why buying early saves money explains the deadlines, and our winter 2026-27 snowmobiler's guide covers what else is new this season.

After the Show: Close the Deal

  1. Lay your written quotes side by side. Compare out the door prices, not MSRP or show sale prices.
  2. Check them against the used market. See what the same model sells for on used snowmobiles for sale or used side by sides across Canada.
  3. Call your local dealer. Many will match or come close to a show quote, and you get a local service relationship.
  4. Read the paperwork before you sign. Check the VIN, model year, trim, included accessories, warranty term and every fee.
  5. Arrange insurance before pickup. You will need proof of insurance to register and ride.

If the show convinces you that a new machine is out of budget, a used sled or side by side is often the smarter buy. Browse listings on MudWheelz, or see what is new with our new model pricing. And if you are selling your current machine to fund an upgrade, you can list it on MudWheelz.
