What the verified badge means, and what to ask before you buy

What the blue check means here

A verified badge on MudWheelz means we have reviewed the business before approving it: that the dealership is real and reachable, that listings reflect what is actually in stock, and that buyers are dealt with straight. It is not a warranty and it is not an endorsement of any individual machine, so do your own checks too.

Dealer or private sale

  • Dealers usually mean easier financing, some recourse if something is wrong, machines that have been serviced and prepared, and help with registration paperwork.
  • Private sales are often cheaper, but everything is sold as-is with no comeback, which is exactly when a pre-purchase inspection earns its cost.

Ask for the out-the-door price

The sticker is rarely what you pay. Freight, pre-delivery inspection, documentation fees and taxes all land on top, and they vary between dealerships. Ask for the total number in writing before you talk about monthly payments, then run it through our payment calculator so you are comparing like with like.

Questions worth asking

  • What is the full out-the-door price, including every fee and tax?
  • What warranty applies, and what exactly does it cover?
  • On used units, what service has been done and is there a history?
  • Do you handle registration paperwork?
  • What financing rates can you access, and can I compare with my own?

Worth arranging your financing and an insurance quote before you walk in, so you negotiate on price rather than on the monthly payment.

Dealer FAQ

Common questions from Canadian buyers

Trusted dealers are verified businesses that we have reviewed before approving. We check that the dealership is real and reachable, that listings match what is actually in stock, and that buyers are dealt with honestly. The blue check on a profile means we have done that review.
Each has advantages. Dealers usually offer easier financing, some form of warranty or recourse, and a machine that has been serviced and checked. Private sales are often cheaper but everything is as-is, so a pre-purchase inspection matters more.
Many do, and you can also apply through MudWheelz directly. We pass your application to Canadian lenders and dealerships, so you can compare what is available before committing.
Apply through the dealer signup page. We review every application before approving it. Once approved, you get a dealer profile, your listings are marked as dealer inventory, and buyers can contact you through the site.
Often, yes, particularly on used stock or at the end of a season. Come prepared: know the market price from comparable listings, have your financing number ready, and ask what is included in the total price beyond the sticker.
Ask for the full out-the-door price including freight, PDI, fees and taxes. Ask about warranty, service history on used units, what preparation has been done, and whether they handle registration paperwork.
